All buildings are designed to British standards (BS 5950) which is widely accepted in the South Asian Region. However, conformance to other relevant standards could be verified upon customer’s request. The primary members are either from extruded beams; roll form steel sections,etc. All connections are with bolts and nuts avoiding any welding at sites. The fabrication of the structure is carried out under controlled environment at our production facility,with close professional supervision.

Our in-House design capabilities can cater for customized designs, ABSL holds large stocks of raw materials and fabricated steel components, to ensure that the production division commences fabrication soon as the customer approves the drawings. Design changes could be accommodated even after the order is placed & changes could be negotiated while the building is in production All designs are certified by an independent External Structural Consultant Engineer. Our in-house experienced Engineers will provide Engineering support prior to and during installation at site, to ensure that the end product is of the highest standard.

As all engineering record and details are maintained at ABSL, future extensions and modifications could be accommodated easily. By having our design & manufacturing facility in Sri Lanka we are able to customize the building to our customer requirements at very competitive rates and deliver the fabricated buildings in much shorter time than our overseas competitors.

ABSL Steel buildings can accommodate overhead cranes to facilitate customer requirements. Crane running beams will be manufactured according to crane manufactures specifications. ABSL provides engineering assistance for the installation of such equipment.

ABSL provides structural steel decking for floors which will eliminate & the need to use from work for the floor slab. Shear connectors could also be installed for composite action to take place between concrete and the steel.The use of decking and shear connectors considerably reduces the usage of steel and in turn will be more cost effective and will help speed up the construction.

Our capabilities include surface cleaning by sand blasting to standards of SA1,SA2 or SA21/2 and corrosion protection with airless spray painting system. Coating thickness from 40-350 microns with number of coatings

ABSL Provides the service of roofing, wall cladding and accessories made of high quality Zinc Aluminium alloy coated sheets. These roofing and cladding sheets are made from cold rolled coils conforming to international standards.

Zine Aluminium roofing and cladding sheets are grade 550 with minimum yield strength of 550 N/mm². The sheets are hot dipped with a minimum coating mass of 150 grams/m² on both side and shell have a total coated thickness of 0.47mm for roofing 0.40mm for walling and be clean free from defects. These sheets are available in a range of colours. The top colour finish is of a highly durable polyester coating.

To reduce the transmission of heat from solar radiation into a building, insulation is provided by ABSL.
